I want to delete metadata from my files
Metadata is data about data. It is needed for our digital systems to work properly: for instance, it enables emails to be delivered correctly, helps us find files on our computer, and fundamentally makes it possible to navigate and manage digital content. But as it helps our navigation, it can also help others trace our activities.
Every Word document, digital photograph, PDF, etc. you create will contain metadata. This could include information about the physical device you used, the location you were at, the time of creation and so on. It’s important that you know how to locate and destroy this metadata from a given file.
